World Art Foundation

Now I am a proud digital master member of The World Art Foundation. The organization was formed to build a bridge between artists, art museums, art centers and art galleries all over the world. The World Art Foundation is an organization dedicated to increasing understanding and exposure to the arts regionally, nationally and internationally.

The World Art Foundation also specializes in art shows, exhibitions, fundraisers, art openings, educational programs and award ceremonies for artists, museums, centers and galleries. Through these events, a broad range of collections will be featured in culturally significant places around the U.S. and around the world to develop a greater awareness of this creative endeavor and its importance to society. Umbrella Publishing will facilitate all stages of the exhibitions including concept development, loan procurement, and venue planning and transportation.

The New Birth Of "Cool"

You may see some work going on with the "Abstract" and other pages that have the Cool Iris gallery viewer. To bring that experience to you we've gone inside with the developers on the workings of that experience. Currently I have a work up for submission for the World Art Expo in California this year. Working right now on submitting works for their pages of artist.

Advancing The Garde

A little like my chess play which is unorthodox, is how I approach spreading the Avante Garde. Many in this day and computer assisted day have forgotten that the term is used to refer to people or works that are experimental or innovative, particularly with respect to art, culture, and politics.

Avant-garde represents a pushing of the boundaries of what is accepted as the norm or the status quo, primarily in the cultural realm. The notion of the existence of the avant-garde is considered by some to be a hallmark of modernism, as distinct from postmodernism (from Wikipedia).

So we advance on many fronts. In Australia, the government and rather large corporations are listening to my collaborative partner there, Maggie Beresford and see the value of Avant Garde, plain and simple innovation.

Using modern technology the same as how you found this blog, the East Carolina University magazine in Greenville, North Carolina was able to follow my seeds and find me for the launch of the re-issued magazine "Expressions". I have contributed a few video's from the website and a new work, a title for an upcoming film by Dino Wells, called "Wrong B3comes Me".

Avant Garde is experimental work, work that has never been seen or tried before, so of course it may be uncomfortable at first, but as the Expressions magazine works with minorities and women, going outside of the mainstream and the norm to advance man. So does the Avant Garde artist, however this time styaing at the forefront of society as it makes the pivotal change from human childhood of bickering strife and war, into adulthood.

Bendigo

Bendigo a place in Australia. In Spanish Bendiga means blessing. Surely this area got it's name from the Latin and probably means blessing. Photograph's by Maggie Beresford of Australia and some collaborative Avant Garde art with Carlos L Romero of the US.

2009...We've got some affordable being prepared to go to the streets of NY. If your out there you'll be able to find signed numbered 8.5" X11" framed prints at about $10 in a limited sample set readying for a full Valentine's day launch.

Avante Garde art is really moving in 09 and we expect to have a work in the World Art Expo in California this year.
