Well looks like we'll run a little behind in launching a collaborative portion of the Avant Garde site CarlosL Romero.com

However on the bright side what's really important is having artist like Monica Palermo, of Italy, Maggie Beresford an Australian photographer and Jamie Winter a Native American Genre artist, willing to collaborate on taking art into a new direction where artist themselves are responsible for all means of production of their work. What does this do? Why it make art more affordable when you take the profits of corporate types out of the equation. Along with this goes the feed them pablum, if it ain't broke don't fix it and it's not commercial value system mentality.

Another great tool I found to take a look at for free is Google's Sketch Up 7, it gives the ability for an artist to import a JPEG and pull it up to any scale without the loss of resolution.

Avante Garde International

Given the current sad state of affairs in the art world, we've decided to take action, by working together with a few artist friends from international countries as a start we won't try feeding the public the same old formulated pablum!

On Being Avante Garde

Why not just break the mold all the way. It's so difficult to get value from a system that's become corporatized into presenting the public with palatable saleable artist. In true Avante Garde fashion, these artist like Monica Palermo of Italy and the photographer Maggie Beresford will be guest artist on my site through a subdomain, making their art availabale now in the US.

MOCA

After having left Brooklyn NY in 2006 to revitalize my art in North Carolina, I see and have joined and online museum called Moca (Museum of computer art), has now also moved into a physical building for exhibition space.

This museum will be a force to reckon with in the future as the move is being made with artist becoming digital, just as photographers and musicians have done.
